Africa Made Easy
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Africa Made Easy collects through this website, how it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.
Last updated: 4 September 2026
1. Who we are
Africa Made Easy is a luxury travel planning business. For questions about this policy or how your personal information is handled, email reservations@africamadeeasy.com or call +27 76 701 3220.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you submit an enquiry, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, country of residence, intended travel dates, party size, destination interests, accommodation preferences, budget range and the details you choose to include in your message.
Please avoid sending passport information, payment-card details, health information or other sensitive personal information through a general website enquiry form. If such information is later required to arrange travel, we will explain how it should be provided.
Technical and usage information
When you use the website, hosting and security providers may process information such as your IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, date and time, referring page and diagnostic data. With your permission, Google Analytics 4 may also measure how you use the site and how you interact with content, journeys and enquiry forms.
Campaign and attribution information
Where present in a link, we may process campaign parameters such as UTM values and advertising click identifiers, including gclid, gbraid, wbraid or fbclid. These values are used only according to your analytics and marketing choices and may be included with an enquiry so we can understand which campaign led to it.
3. How we use information
- To receive, respond to and manage travel enquiries.
- To understand your requirements and prepare a tailored itinerary or proposal.
- To operate, secure, maintain and troubleshoot the website and its forms.
- To measure site performance and improve content when analytics permission is granted.
- To measure and improve advertising when marketing permission is granted and relevant advertising tools are enabled.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights, travellers, suppliers and services.
Depending on where you live, these activities may rely on your consent, steps requested before entering a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, or our legitimate interests in operating and improving the business. Applicable legal bases should be confirmed for your jurisdiction.
4. Enquiries and marketing
Submitting a travel enquiry authorises us to contact you about that request. It does not by itself subscribe you to promotional marketing. Where we offer a separate marketing subscription, it will use its own clear choice and you may unsubscribe at any time.
5. Cookies, storage and consent
We use necessary browser storage for core features such as remembering your consent choice and selected display currency. Analytics and marketing storage are optional. On your first visit, optional categories are off unless you choose to allow them.
Our implementation uses Google Consent Mode v2 to communicate your choices for analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation. When storage is denied, Google may still receive consent-state and limited measurement signals under its consent-mode implementation. See our Cookie Policy for details.
6. Analytics and advertising technology
Google Analytics 4 is installed to help us understand site use. Analytics storage is denied by default and is enabled only when you allow analytics. Marketing-related Google consent signals are also denied by default and change only when you allow marketing.
We may introduce Google advertising measurement or similar tools in future, subject to the marketing choice shown in Cookie Settings. No Meta Pixel is currently installed on this website. If a marketing tool is added, it must be gated by marketing consent and this policy and the Cookie Policy must be updated.
7. When information may be shared
We may share information only as reasonably needed with website hosting, form processing, analytics, communications and technology providers; professional advisers; and travel suppliers or destination partners involved in preparing or fulfilling your requested journey. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect legitimate rights and safety.
We do not describe personal information as “never shared” because responding to or arranging a journey may require trusted providers and travel suppliers to process relevant details. We do not sell personal information.
8. International processing
Africa Made Easy plans travel across several countries and uses suppliers and technology services that may operate internationally. Your information may therefore be processed outside your home country. Where required, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards should be used for international transfers.
9. How long information is kept
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including handling an enquiry, providing travel services, maintaining appropriate business and tax records, resolving disputes and meeting legal obligations. Retention varies by record type and applicable law. A final retention schedule requires legal and operational confirmation.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and to withdraw consent. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions. Contact us using the details above and we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
You can change optional cookie choices at any time using Cookie Settings in the footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
11. Security
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures intended to protect personal information. No online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
12. Children
The website is intended for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly use the site to solicit personal information directly from children. An adult arranging family travel may provide limited information about children where necessary for an enquiry or booking.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, suppliers, technology or legal obligations change. The date above will show when it was last revised.
