Itinerary

Day by Day

Okavango Delta · Days 1 to 4

1
Into the Okavango

Maun to Chief's Island

Arrive in Maun and continue by light aircraft into the Okavango Delta, following the operating route confirmed for your travel date. From the air, channels and islands begin to explain the scale of the landscape. Settle into Little Mombo, then join a first game drive if arrival time and conditions allow.

Meals: According to arrival time

2
Chief's Island at First Light

Okavango Delta

Leave camp early with your guide and read the morning as it develops. Chief's Island supports a rich mix of wildlife, but nothing is staged or guaranteed; the reward lies in patient tracking, considered positioning and time to remain with a sighting.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

3
Between Island & Channel

Okavango Delta

Balance another land safari with a quieter view from the water. Mokoro or boating is included in the plan only when water levels, weather, safety and camp operations permit. Your guide will recommend the strongest option rather than force a fixed programme onto a changing ecosystem.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

4
The Delta, Left Open

Okavango Delta

Keep the final Delta day flexible: a longer game drive, time in a hide, another water activity when available, or a slower afternoon at camp. An optional scenic helicopter flight can be quoted separately once routing, season and aviation availability are confirmed.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Linyanti · Days 5 to 8

5
Across Botswana by Light Aircraft

Okavango Delta to Linyanti

Fly north from the Delta to the Linyanti region on the camp circuit confirmed for your date. Little DumaTau introduces a different Botswana: open floodplains, riverine woodland and the Osprey Lagoon and Savuti Channel system. Settle in before an afternoon activity.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

6
The Linyanti Corridor

Linyanti

Spend the day exploring a private concession known for movement between woodland, floodplain and water. Elephants are an important part of Linyanti's character, particularly as conditions become drier, though every encounter remains entirely wild and cannot be scheduled.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

7
Linyanti from the Water

Linyanti

When water levels and camp operations allow, take to the channel by boat or barge for a lower, slower perspective. If conditions favour land instead, your guide will use the morning and afternoon for game drives, following tracks and recent movement across the concession.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

8
A Final Full Safari Day

Linyanti

Leave the programme open for the best of the moment. This may mean returning to fresh tracks, waiting at a productive water source, spending time with elephants at a respectful distance, or taking a quiet afternoon at camp before a final sundowner.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

From Linyanti to the Zambezi

Botswana to Livingstone

Leave camp by light aircraft and continue to Livingstone using the strongest confirmed combination of scheduled camp flight, private transfer and border formalities for your date. At Mukwa River Lodge, the Zambezi replaces the safari timetable and the afternoon is deliberately unstructured.

Meals: Breakfast; later meals as arranged

10
Victoria Falls, Privately Guided

Livingstone

Visit Victoria Falls with a private guide, beginning on the Zambian side and adding the Zimbabwean viewpoints only when documentation, border conditions and your preferred pace make sense. Spray, visibility and the character of the Falls vary markedly with seasonal river levels.

Meals: Breakfast

Aerial view of Victoria Falls and the Zambezi gorge
11
A Slower Day on the Zambezi

Livingstone

Keep the morning for the lodge, a spa treatment or a privately arranged Livingstone experience. Later, take to the Zambezi for a sunset cruise when river and weather conditions allow, returning to Mukwa for a final evening beside the water.

Meals: Breakfast

Private river deck above the Zambezi at sunset
12
Depart Livingstone

Livingstone

After breakfast, transfer privately to Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport for your onward flight. Africa Made Easy will align the departure with the international itinerary and add a Johannesburg connection or overnight only when the confirmed schedule makes it prudent.
